B08 - John Harris adobe - The old wooden door here has the names of his two daughters inscribed in pencil, dated "5th day of March 1894"" and marked with the girls' heights at the time. The photo below illustrates the building technique known as xx, in which the adobe, instead of being formed into bricks, is packed tightly between a set of forms.
