R04 - Hi Frudden Store - On the corner of Pleyto St and Meadow Ave was the store run by Hiram Frudden. It was an old-style store with high shelves, library-style ladder, and no self-service: Mr Frudden would get things down from the shelves for you. For groceries, they'd send a list with the morning mail run, then Hi would fill the list, then the groceries would be dropped off on the evening mail run. Ray had a running tab that he'd pay monthly or so. Ray would send cream to Bradley to be picked up at the Bradley train station, and taken to the Challenge dairy in Petaluma.
